The Brazilians came back from a one-sided loss on the opening map to win the series in a 30-round decider. FURIA have eliminated Isurus from BLAST Premier Fall Showdown after the hard-fought series and moved on to the quarter-finals, in which they will face Virtus.pro on Friday at 16:30 . The Brazilians came back from a 5-16 loss on the first map, Overpass, winning Mirage in similarly dominant fashion before Inferno went the full distance, with FURIA denying Isurus a massive comeback attempt in the last round of regulation. Isurus took FURIA by surprise from the get-go on Overpass, almost seeming like the more stacked and experienced side as they kept winning key clutches and close late-round situations after trading blows early on. Roberto "reversive" Themtham's massive 1v4 and another 1v2 from Caike "caike" Costa both helped Isurus put together an incredibly successful offense, which left FURIA dumbfounded as they entered the second half at a 3-12 deficit. ![]() There was still life left in the Brazilian squad, who lost the pistol but managed to answer with a forcebuy, but another series of clutches — this time from Marcos "deco" Amato and Nicolás "Noktse" Dávila — left FURIA in the dust, as Isurus rallied to a successful 16-5 finish on the opening map. Mirage turned the match on its head as it was FURIA who won the big clutches early, courtesy of Henrique "HEN1" Teles, to go on a dominant streak on the Terrorist side. An eleven-round run gave them the momentum to equalize the series without too many issues, and the series reached its deciding Inferno. At first, it looked like FURIA would put on another one-sided performance when they were leading 5-0 on the decider, but Isurus eventually found the answer to the defense and climbed back to 6-9 by halftime. With a forcebuy victory in the second half, Andrei "arT" Piovezan & co. stormed to match point almost uncontested, but they found Isurus quite difficult to close as the Argentinian side showcased a strong mentality, stringing seven rounds together to threaten overtime. However, FURIA found the last round, after all, pulling off a well-executed B attack to clinch the decider 16-14. BLAST Premier Fall 2020 ShowdownBest of 3![]() ![]()
